Ms. Grace Tse – Founder & Chairman of i Dance

Ms Grace Tse is the founder and chairman of i Dance. Grace and her family are successful entrepreneurs who have built multiple businesses in the past three decades. Including being the manufacturer of an Australian skin care product, a major distributor of French red wine, European and American branded apparel, aromatherapy, and premium skin care products.

Grace has worked with some leading international corporations such as Revlon and The P&G Company. For 20 years, she successfully assisted these well-known brands to develop and expand their markets to major cities in China including Beijing and Shanghai. With her extensive market development experience, Grace is a seasoned professional in brand and people management.

Grace began setting up i Dance in 2009. She intended i Dance to be a high-quality dancing school with scale and systematic management in Hong Kong. Her strong belief that dancing can help people attain a happier and healthier life led her to partner with well-known local celebrities: Mr. So Boss and Ms. Mary Hon to set up i Dance. She later successfully recruited many other honored local and international dancers as full-time instructors. i Dance offers a wide range of dance classes and workshops for different people, satisfying the needs of all ages. To Grace, i Dance is not only a brand, but also her passion to help others achieve a healthier lifestyle through the holistic body-mind-spirit positivity - "i Dance, I Change".

Besides dance classes for individuals, Grace launched the Hong-Kong-first Team Building Dance Workshop in 2017 by bringing dancing into corporations. Grace later collaborated with the Hong Kong Management Association to launch the “Inhouse Wellness Workshop”, helping enterprises build confident, creative, and effective work teams.

As of today, there were over 100 corporations that joined the Workshops, among which were Government bodies such as Hospital Authority, ICAC, Labour Department, Electrical & Mechanical Services Department; and commercial enterprises, namely the HK & China Gas Company, the Swire Group, the Jardines Group, Hong Kong Jockey Club, Bank of China (HK), Estee Lauder and L’OREAL.

With dedication and hard work, i Dance has become Hong Kong’s largest and most well-known dancing school, highly regarded by the individual learners, enterprises, and industry practitioners.

In 2018, i Dance was awarded the "Hong Kong Q-Mark Service Scheme" certification by the Federation of Hong Kong Industries, becoming the first and only high-quality company in the Provision of Dancing Training Service in Hong Kong to be awarded this certification!

After obtaining the Q-Mark quality certification, i Dance has made persistent efforts and successfully obtained the accreditation of "Training Qualifications UK" (East Asia and Southeast Asia Division)" (TQUK ESEA) in 2019. i Dance is the first international education course customized with dance. And it is the only dance academy in Southeast Asia to obtain TQUK Recognition of Professional Qualifications. The certified Dance course exclusively covers East Asia and Southeast Asia, including Macau, Mainland China, Japan, South Korea, Singapore, Indonesia, Vietnam, Philippines, Cambodia and other countries and regions, and Hong Kong is used as the main test base to promote dance Formal education writes an important chapter.

Different from traditional dance schools, i Dance breaks through with an innovative management. Certification or awards can promote i Dance to be better and more progressive, and work towards a more ambitious goal.

Between 2009 to 2020, i Dance had been recognized with over 300 awards, including “GBA Outstanding Women Entrepreneur 2018”, “PVCBS Brand of Excellence 2018”, "Hong Kong Q-Mark Service Scheme" certification awarded by Hong Kong Q-mark Council, “5 Years+ Caring Company” awarded by the Hong Kong Council of Social Service, International Beauty Professionals Validation Association Beauty Business Leadership Awards etc.

So Boss - Director of i Dance
So Boss has always been well respected and recognized as one of the star members from the world-wide famous musical band Grasshopper. The Grasshopper has earned a very high level of reputation in the entertainment industry for over many years due to their excellent, evocative and powerful singing and dancing. So, it is no doubt that So Boss is a dancing master after many years of first class performance and practice. Being the Director of i Dance, he passes on his dancing skill to enable more people to have a happy and healthy life through dancing. Since the set up of i Dance, he has led the senior dancing instructors to develop an integrated, interesting and appealing dancing courses that can fit for all ages of people. So Boss also commits himself to help grow i Dance as successful as his front-stage development of Grasshopper.
Jermaine Browne - Principal
Jermaine Browne is a well-known and sought after international Choreographer, Artistic Director Movement Coach, Teacher and Model, renowned for his ability to gracefully blend strength and sensual movements that are big, powerful and at time emotionally driven. Boosted by a roster of clients, from the London Olympic Gamers to Louis Vuitton, as well as a number of notable artists from legendary rock star, Mick Jagger to Jennifer Lopez, Jermaine Browne’s ability to Artistically Direct and Choreograph does not even begin to scratch the surface of his unique artistry. Jermaine’s career took off when he worked as a performer in a Blockbuster/Visa commercial with Cindy Crawford, which led to other commercials with the Gap, Nike and Toyota and later came the video creations for Christina Aguilera’s  “Genie in a Bottle” and Jennifer Lopez’s music video “Love Don’t Cost a Thing.” Success in music videos allowed Jermaine to contribute to the 2005 European MTV Music Awards, including the holographic performance of the Gorillas and Host, Borat. Jermaine’s signature style captivated the attention of celebrity fashion designers across the world.  He was recruited to choreograph and direct short films for global fashion house Louis Vuitton and Marc Bouwer, Carolina Herrera, and Rachel Roy. As a result, he earned an accolade for Best Film at La Jolla Fashion Film Awards. He has cultivated unique projects like a dance for The Heineken “Green Synergy” international campaign. Jermaine has worked as Movement Coach for actress Emily Blunt and Kate Hudson, Dance Curator for hotel Yotel further expanding his unique approach to creative dance. His unique vision has ushered in collaborations such as on Leona Lewis’ Labyrinth tour in the UK and in the last seven years he developed, directed and choreographed for the annual Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show, which included performances with Justin Timberlake, Katy Perry and Nicki Minaj, just to name a few. In 2011, Jermaine Browne collaborated with fashion designer Dominic Louis to develop a fashion line inspired by dance. The 15-piece capsule collection is an extension of Jermaine’s inventive attitude towards a life full of dance, movement and creativity. By 2012, Jermaine was lending his talents to the Olympic Games and curated artistic pieces for the opening of the tennis tournament, the Men and Women’s Basketball finals, halftime show as well as Kellogg’s tour of gymnastic champions, featuring US Olympic champions, like Gabrielle Douglas. He was choreographer, member of the directing team and joined the act to “wow” the audience. In 2013, He choreographed a special performance on USA, The Voice and was the Movement Coach for Rock Icon, Mick Jagger’s performance on SNL to name a few. There is just no limit to his ingenious creativity!
Mr. LAU Pui Hung - Principal
Mr. Lau is the first generation of veteran famous dancer, choreographer and dance instructor in the Hong Kong film industry. He received the Actor training and Choreography training classes from at the Shaw Productions company during 1965-1968, then worked as the singing group officer, choreographer and principal actor at the TV stations, film companies and dance groups as well. Starting from the 1970’s, Mr. Lau has activity promoted the dance education, organized the regional dance competition and had gained highly favorable comments.  He has also gathered 300 people to dance 2 Chinese Dance pieces (百鳥朝凰, 花兒遍地開) for the grand performances when the Queen Elizabeth II and the Prince of Wales visited in Hong Kong. The performances were highly praised and the “Outstanding Group Performance Award” was given. Mr. Lau established and organized various dance groups including Mr. LAU Pui Hung Dance Group, Youth Dance Group, Yuen Long Dance Group, Tuen Mun Dance Group, Silver Star Song and Dance Ensemble, HK & NT dance group and as well as the Kwai Tsing dance group. He also serves as the Artistic Director and the Choreographer for three decades. He contributed a lot in the field of dance education ,as he has trained a large number of professional dancers who are active in the artistic dance field.
